Logo design & app icon concept for a mobile app named Banabird. The app will contain a collection of stories that can be read by various users.

I created 2 unique versions. The first version is a literal depiction of the name – a banana with features of a bird. Hopefully science will never make this a reality. The peeled banana forms the body and wings of the bird. Then I added a cute lil’ beak.

 

 

 

 

The second version also  combines these 2 elements. This time an owl – symbolizing wisdom, intelligence, and knowledge which are characteristics many would associate with those who read frequently. The top half of an unpeeled banana creates the lower body/tail of the owl. Then I added cute lil’ feet.
